Hot off the Press!!

Brightlingsea having been invited by the RHS to participate in the National Flower Bed Competition - Took up the challenge of competing against the Municipal Borough Councils from across the country and on a shoestring budget the team created their flowerbed of the theme
"Hidden Pearl of the Essex Coast"
Sun-Sea and Sand
The Result - Brightlingsea was awarded an RHS SILVER MEDAL
and in the post judging 'surgery' were informed at a SILVER achieved by volunteers was equal to a Municipal Borough's DOUBLE GOLD!! A Great Compliment.

The project was taken on to promote the town and to encourage much needed tourism and was sponsored by Brightlingsea Business Association, Tendring Tourism Group and Brightlingsea Town Council.
