THE 1st SMALL TOWN IN THE ANGLIA REGION TO WIN A PLACE IN THIS PREMIER HORTICULTURAL COMPETITION – NOW SPONSORED & ORGANISED BY THE PRESTIGIOUS ROYAL HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The tremendous success in 2001 came about through the enthusiasm & participation by all sections of the community – together with the enthusiastic work of the team of 70+ volunteers who help create & maintain the wonderful floral displays throughout the length & breadth of the town.
The most generous financial support given by Residents, Businesses & Organisations and the support of Town & District Councils makes it all possible.
Brightlingsea has won 17 Major Awards Nationally & Regionally since 1996:-

      "Brightlingsea once again presented their Town at its very best – with clean streets & first class flower displays along with many other In Bloom projects. People from all walks of life taking part, even the Police & Fire Service.
